Stuff about the actual making-the-video part that doesn't need to be on the main page anymore

So who can participate?

Anyone who's willing to follow the theme and can handle the technical aspects of the video.  You must be able to edit at 24FPS in your software of choice, export in 24FPS HuffYUV, and get me the file.  While I'll stop short of saying that I want nothing but experienced editors involved in the project, I will say that because the song means a lot to me and several people I know, I will expect nothing less than an amazing effort from each and every participant.

You mentioned a theme.  What is it?

Well, as the song is called "Children," your segment must center on a young character/characters.  It can be happy or sad, funny or serious, so long as it centers around children.  If you can incorporate dreams/dreaming/etc, that'd be cool too, but not completely necessary.  The shows used in the top image are just suggestions of young characters: you can pull them out from any show you wish.

Well, when's the deadline?

Let's call it the end of January for the time being, though naturally the faster you can get your segment done, the better.  I expect to see a beta (in divx, mpeg1, whatever) before we transfer the HuffYUV, so make sure I've approved your final version before you get me the HuffYUV.

How do I sign up?

We're full!  However,  if you'd like a role as backup editor, you can email dokool@simons-rock.edu.  Should anybody drop out of the project for whatever reason, you will be called upon in the order that you're signed up to replace them.

EDITING AT 720x480 @ 24FPS FOR DUMMIES
(Link goes to the AniMix Project's instructions, as we're doing pretty much the same thing and I'm lazy)

As a reminder, all of the audio clips have already been adjusted to 24fps and do not need to be run through BeSweet.  Just drop them into a 24FPS Premiere project and get cracking!
