the Children Project

A couple years ago, I (DOKool) was introduced to the song Children (Dreams Mix) by Robert Miles. There are a couple "official" versions of the mix: the official version (the one I bought off iTunes) is 7:06. Another version found through Kazaa is about 7:30, and that's the version we'll be using.

Anyway, I'd always toyed with the idea of doing an AMV to Children. Unfortunately, well, it's a 7-minute song, which makes a solo-effort near impossible. My urges were somewhat satisfied by the Animix Project Part 3, in which I edited a 30-second clip of Children to Spirited Away. After that, me and editor JG decided to team up and turn Children into an "AMV Battle". We'd trade off segments, building off of each other, and anime characters would watch this 'battle' on TVs, projector screens on buildings, etc. Unfortunately, due to time (or lack thereof), we were unable to complete any segments after Round One after our battle.

So, here I am, with about 30 seconds worth of assembled AMV footage for a 7:30 song. What to do, what to do... Oh, that's right, I'll start a project! I've divided the song into enough segments to allow 16 new editors (I'm keeping the 'Round One' segments that me and JG did as they both, ironically enough, include children) to participate.
